Even-Odd Parking in Full Effect for Alger Heights!
November 10, 2014
It’s that time of year once again, Alger Heights!
Effective immediately, all streets in Alger Heights and the surrounding Grand Rapids neighborhoods will be subject to the City’s Odd-Even parking ordinance, restricting parking to just one side of the street based on the calendar date.
The rule is easy to remember! On even-numbered dates (November 10, etc.), residents and visitors alike must park on the side of the street which displays even-numbered house addresses. On odd-numbered days, park on the odd-numbered side of the street.
This rule is to ensure easier access for city snow plows making their way through the streets. Restrictions will be in effect from 1:00 AM – 6:00 PM every day through the remainder of the fall and the entire winter until at least April 1, 2015, where signs are posted.
PLEASE NOTE, EVENING PARKERS … If you’re going to be parking overnight, please park on the side of the street to match NEXT day’s date, not the current date.
